Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction
Jan. 13-20: Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction is a unique spectacle, a king-sized collection of events anchored by the raucous, televised automobile auction held inside an arena-size tent. Last year, more than $112 million worth of vehicles were sold and this year's auction will feature about 1,200 vehicles, ranging from vintage and classic craft to hot rods and muscle cars.
Cars up for auction this year:
- "Thelma and Louise" Thunderbird, which is signed by Brad Pitt and Geena Davis
- An armor-plated presidential limousine from the Bill Clinton-era
- A vintage 1928 Duesenberg,
- A customized Rolls Royce Phantom II from 1935
- Two cars owned by legendary US auto racing driver and engineer Carroll Shelby, a 1969 Mustang GT500 convertible and another GT500 given to his son in 1967
- A stretch Hummer featured in 2006 film "Miami Vice"
- A 1969 Dodge Charger known to viewers of 1980s television series "The Dukes of Hazzard" as The General Lee
